Dear Jim,
Thanks for your comments. It sounds to me like you have alot of memories from El Sauzal! My first trip was in 1989. I also have many memories of projects. If you were on construction of the dental office - which was there when I began visiting, how long have you been visiting? A LOONG time I think!
I would greatly enjoy any photos that you had to share. I use the photos I receive on the web page, blog, our newsletter, et cetera. I especially appreciate the older ones...I don't have as may of those.
Are you on our mailing list? Would you like to receive our newsletters?
By the way, I would love to see your great photo with you and Ramon!
Muchas gracias, Jim,
Patty

Dear Patty:

We have never met but back in the mid-late 1990's I along with other church members use to visit and halped with the construction of El Sauzal. Iuse to live in Orange County California but the group that came down to the orphange back inthe mid 1980's was from Lake Avenue Congregational Church (singles) in Pasadena CA. On ocassions, I look back at my many photo's of the work we use to do at the orphanage. I am now living in Fort Myers Florida, and decided to view your website. Maybe sometime I will send some old photo's of the old group. It is intresting to note that I have never met Roy K, but we worked at the orphanage before Roy was associated with the orphanage. As late as 2000 we, a group of us painted the mess hall outside with red and beige paint.; you should see my photo's! We were the opnes who started the construction of the Dentist Office you now use. In fact I remember that all of us 'guys' slept in the dentish office on the concrete floor during construction many years ago. the second story of the orphanage was not even present at that time. My friend and I did the wiring from the water tower out back to the orphanage back aroudn the early 1990's.

Well, I could go on and on, but I will close for now. I have a great photo of myself and Mr. Espinoza Sr.

Thank you for your time;

Wow what a story to tell!!

Just a quick question. What model is the stove? Our church is planning to be there at El Sauzal this coming Saturday and am thinking of bringing baking trays that will fill the width of the oven. I need to know how wide the ovens are as the trays that I have are wider than the domestic oven.

Please reply as soon as you possibly can.

Thank you for all your great work!

During the mid-late 1980's and linto the 2000 year, I along with different Christian friends have worked on different projects. My friend and myself put the 220 electric from the water tower platform out back to the orphanage many years ago. We also laid the foundation for the dentist office that has been in existence since the mid 1980's. I have come down to the orphanage with Lake Avenue Congregational Church in Pasadena and from Life Church in Mission Viejo CA.

I have seen this orphanage metamorphesis for some time now.

Thank you and God bless.

My wife & I am so grateful to have learned of El Sauzal Orphanage at missions fest Seattle. This was certainly a fun booth indeed. We even got to try the chips and hot sauce and have a fancy new pen! We enjoyed watching the dvd video about the orphanage and are excited to bring our family with 3 children to your orphanage to visit this place God has His hand on. How wonderful all the items for the event were donated. God is so good!
