Who We Are
Helping children in need
El Sauzal is a family-run home near Ensenada, Mexico, helping abandoned, abused, and wounded children. We are a warm, Christian home immersed in love.
Mission
Our mission is to raise children with faith, family, and a future. Through faith we give children the hope and courage they need as they face life. Through our family setting, we love the kids, demonstrating how healthy families work. With a focus on the future, we educate our children as they prepare to start lives on their own.
Education
One of our top priorities is that each child receive a complete education, paving the way for a future out of poverty. We send the kids to elementary school, provide tutoring to get them to grade level, and pay to send them to high school. When teens want to go to college or technical school, our home and sponsors pay for tuition. Read more about sponsoring one of our students.
Our alumni have become lawyers, teachers, psychologists, social workers, accountants, bilingual secretaries, and chefs. Some are pastors and evangelists.
Community
Our children and staff are active in our town and our local church. Our Dental Clinic provides oral work not only for our home, but community members and the children of the other children’s home in town.
